JOIN THE CONVERT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM!

The purpose of this program is to provide our new Muslim brothers & sisters with a sense of community and a safe place to turn for questions & support in the form of a dedicated mentor (either an experienced convert or a born-Muslim), as they learn to navigate their beautiful new life in Islam and the challenges that may arise.

Apply below to become a part of our Convert Mentorship Program as either a mentee or a mentor!

WHO IS A “MENTEE”?

A mentee is a convert (or a person who is still on their journey to taking shahada) that is looking for personalized support in their practice, education, community involvement, and goals as a new Muslim or someone seriously looking into Islam.

This could be someone who has only been Muslim for a short time or someone who has been Muslim for a while, but due to various personal, familial, or spiritual circumstances, feel that they could benefit from having a trusted community member at their side who is understanding, non-judgmental, and willing to help support our converts on their spiritual journey!

WHO IS A “MENTOR”?

A mentor could be an experienced convert of at least 5 years or a born-Muslim community member with a willingness to support and understand the convert experience!

Each mentor is vetted by our team to ensure they are a good fit for the program and will be a trusted advisor to one of our convert mentees.

Mentors are not expected to be sheikhs, scholars, or to be “perfect” in any way. We simply ask that our mentors have a strong personal commitment to the faith, are active in the community, and can be available periodically to either meet with their mentee in person / attend events with them or form a connection via text / phone calls.
