Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! We are honored to have The Mecca Center be part of this significant occasion.

Please complete the Nikkah Service Request Form below and submit it no later than seven days prior to the date of the Nikkah ceremony.

Documents

Both the prospective groom and bride must provide a recognized photo identification document, such as a passport, driver’s license, ID card, or equivalent.

Provide the marriage license from DuPage County (not any other county).

The bride and groom must be present at the marriage contract appointment.

A representative’s presence is mandatory if it is the woman’s first marriage.

Two adult Muslim male witnesses are required to endorse and sign the marriage contract.

A divorced woman must provide her legal and Islamic divorce documents.

A widow must provide her deceased husband’s death certificate.

The bride must be from the People of the Book (Muslim, Christian, or Jewish).

Counseling sessions are encouraged.

Nikkah at The Mecca Center is a free service; donations for the Masjid are encouraged and appreciated.

Scheduling

Nikkah ceremonies at The Mecca Center are scheduled as follows:

Mondays through Thursdays: Between Dhuhr and Asr prayers.

Fridays: Between Asr and Maghrib prayers.

Saturdays: Between Dhuhr and Maghrib prayers.

Unless otherwise arranged with the Sheikh.

Photography and Restrictions

Nikkah ceremonies can only be performed by the available Sheikh; no outside Sheikhs are allowed.

No nikkah ceremony is allowed in the Musallah area.

No photography is allowed in the Musallah area.

Venue and Services

Nikkah ceremony, with 15 attendees or fewer, will be conducted in the Sheikh’s office.

For larger groups (up to 300 attendees), the banquet hall can be rented at $150 per hour if no food is served.

If food or boxed sweets are planned, the family must arrange with the kitchen manager, Shayma AlRayes, at shaymaalrayes@gmail.com. Additional fees will apply.

Family Responsibilities

The family must read, accept, and sign the guidelines form on the day they pay the fees.

The family hosting the nikkah ceremony is responsible for informing their guests of all guidelines and ensuring their adherence.

All guests attending the nikkah ceremony are kindly requested to enter through the back door.

Guests must dress modestly as a sign of respect for the House of Allah.

Deposits and Payments (For Banquet Hall)

A refundable deposit of $500 will be required for cleaning or any damages.

All fees and deposits must be paid prior to the event to avoid delays or cancellations. If not paid within the given time frame, the event will be canceled.

Right to Cancel

The Mecca Center reserves the right to cancel the event if the guidelines are not followed.
